I have more then a dozen errors. I have no idea why or how to fix. I’m only on part 3 of the videos and can’t actually game test with the errors!

looks like all the videos got updated. maybe some of the stuff will actually work now!

but seriously, thank you. it was getting frustrating having to reverse-engineer solutions with little or no knowledge of the software.

Hi, I have the following problems with my unity (2019.3.9f1) on imac (i7 24GB ram):
1. when I zoom, some objects disappears (see the screenshot, there are 4 tiles 2×2), 1 of them is hidden. If i continue to zoom, another change his position
2. cpu goes to 100% when I move inside the scene. I see some lags of shadow on the floor
3. when I put the floor-panel, a waring appears that say that there are UV Overlaps
4. The cube appears very light (see the screenshot)
Can you help me? Are there unity bugs?
Thank you very much,
Roberto

Using Unity 2018.4.11f1. I’ve found that ”m_Renderer = GetComponent();” Helps but doesn’t solve the real issue……

This works: using System.Collections; using System.Collections.Generic; using UnityEngine; public class ObjectColor : MonoBehaviour { public Color originalColor = Color.white; public Color changeColor = Color.black; void Awake() { originalColor = GetComponent().material.color; } // Update is called once per frame void Update() { if (Input.GetKeyDown(KeyCode.G)) { GetComponent().material.color = changeColor; } else if (Input.GetKeyUp(KeyCode.G)) { GetComponent().material.color = originalColor; } } }

I have found functional code for Color Change with Input!!! The following line of could checks out with the current Unity software: this.GetComponent().material.color = changedColor; The other people had the right function, but they forgot to put the in the code.

Hi, so I had a problem with the lighting one too but I figured that out. But the Applying Force to Spawned Object tutorial I can’t figure out.. I have my code exactly the same as the one in the video: public class Spawner : MonoBehaviour { public GameObject spawnType = null; public float scaleMin = 0.2f; public float scaleMax = 2.0f; public float force = 100.0f; void Update() { if ( Input.GetKeyDown (KeyCode.Space)) { GameObject obj = Instantiate(spawnType) as GameObject; obj.transform.position = this.transform.position; float scaleSize = Random.Range(scaleMin, scaleMax); obj.transform.localScale = Vector3.one * scaleSize; obj.AddComponent(); obj.rigidbody.AddRelativeForce(Vector3.back * force); obj.name =… Read more »
